Any type of weapon, fists, words, guns, past offenses, etc., can be used to attack and/or defend. In what's considered normal situations, walls are already up however they're able to be penetrated during the beginning stages of any relationship, i.e., dating, employee/employer, teacher/student, marital, parent/child, etc. The beginning phase of a relationship is when "the water is being tested." It is here trust is earned according to actions verses word.
Every disappointment lays on another brick and the need for protection is where wall comes in. Where there is no Trust, there is Fear. Because they are in complete opposition to one another, Trust and Fear can not reside together, at least not for very long, precisely because they are in complete opposition to one another and there are no reconciliations when Fear is in its midst.
Protection is for the Fearful while Love is everyone! Put down your weapons, all of them, and wake up to the realization of Who you Really are, a Spiritual being experiencing Life temporarily in physical form. It is here you will be reminded of how absurd the idea of protection is considering what is Real can not be threatened. When you remember Who's you are, you will know you're not the One in control here and for that very reason, there is nothing to Fear. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me" means even in your darkest most challenging days/phases in Life, you will not be fazed by what is wrong in the world because what is Real can not be threatened.
What is Real (Truth) is, until we (human beings) are able to look past what causes Fear, separation, and we are able to recognize one another for Who we Really are (Love,) no longer a stranger at best and an enemy at the very least, is when we will understand there is never a reason to Fear. When we can come together as one because we are One, the weapons will be done away with because we will realize the need for protection is no longer a matter of fact.
You are an instrument of Love, live Life in Love and you will come to know Peace and where Fear is a thing of the Past. Now, because you're awake, stay present in a state of gratitude and You will be the Fear won't have any affect on the future. Peace
