What's on your mind?

Is it ever just one thing? Or should the question be "What's not on your mind?" For the later to be answered, one would have to stop all the mindless chatter in order to focus long enough to come up with a sensible answer.

It's not uncommon for most to begin their day with at least one, if not several and worse case scenario, all of the following; what's most pressing on the To Do list, worries about this or that, rehashing yesterday's drama, etc. As if that isn't enough, local and world wide news, which is very rarely positive and promotes fear, is added into the mix.

This is how a typical day begins for far too many and what is happening around the world is simply a reflection and clear indicator of what is going on in the mind. There is no other explanation for the senseless and incessant acts of violence (physical, emotional and/or verbal) that people are forced to deal with on a daily basis.

The average person has more than enough on their "plate" and many more have several "plates" to try and manage. Because the mind is bombarded with so much (all lot of it stressful) for many, it is no wonder the first reaction to the slightest form of opposition comes as an attack.

Too often, mindless chatter is the root cause of suffering because its usually in the form of worrying. Worrying is useless yet results in suffering considering 1. if there is something that can be done to improve a situation, worrying about it is useless. and 2. if there is nothing that can be done to improve or change a situation, worrying about it is pointless.

Mindless chatter is also based around regret, shame, resentment and the like. Because what was done can never be undone, reliving the situation in the mind keeps the pain, upset and anger alive and well which prevents growth and a healthy life style.

Choose rather to remember the Power within you by deciding to let go of Past offenses (of others and yours)  and live in this moment. Trusting things will work out the way they are meant to will relieve you (and those close to you) from further pain and suffering because worrying and/or being anxious  never changed anything for the better.

Be grateful for this moment, no matter how difficult and/or challenging it may be because 1. it could be worse and 2. it is what it is and you will come to know Peace which is never dependent upon life circumstances. Because Peace comes from within, it can never be taken from you but you'll never "find" it because its always with you. Just go within and quiet the  mind and there you'll be...in Peace. Peace

What is the point of it all?

There is a purpose, a meaning to life and going to work everyday to pay the bills isn't it!

Because the point to life has been forgotten, confusion and conflict are like cloaks that cover up Reality leaving a cold, dark and lonely world in the form of pain and suffering. Because the point to life has been lost, the need to justify, attack, defend, make wrong, make right, explain, etc., is how the viscous cycle of pain and suffering is kept in motion. Because life is viewed from the images taken in with the physical eyes, Fear is the state in which life is lived and when decisions are made in Fear, the results are guaranteed to bring more pain and suffering!

When life ALL situations are seen and accepted as an opportunity to respond in LOVE by BEing still in the midst of conflict, chaos and confusion will the meaning of life be understood. When not reacting to negativity is the preferred choice made, the strength and momentum of  pain and suffering becomes weakened and less frequent. As the lessons of life are learned, challenging circumstances are then seen as tests (of patience, tolerance, faith, understanding, etc.) and the passing grade is offered as Peace of mind.

The point of it ALL is to live in Peace on earth and LOVE is the only way to get it. Peace

What's good??

"What's wrong?" tends to be one of the first questions asked when someone seems upset or bothered.
Because Ego LOVES conflict and drama, what's wrong in any given situation will always be the preferred topic and/or focus. Because Ego initiates and maintains problems never solutions,  agreeing with and even justifying reasons for feeling upset or bothered is how it maintains its existence. Not knowing this or forgetting this is how life's lessons get overlooked, considering everything happens for a reason.

There is a purpose to everything in life or it would not be. Please know the purpose does not have to make sense for it to be accepted. Unless the mind is open, present and willing to receive the message/lesson, it will be interpreted by Ego as either bad luck or a personal attack.

The Truth of the matter is, unless and until the mind is STILL, what's "wrong" will seem to increase in both intensity and severity.  Choose rather, despite how dark and heavy the situation may present itself, to pause and ask "what is the purpose of this?" or "what is there to be learned from this?" considering everything happens for a reason.

Another way of not getting dragged in and caught up with what's "wrong" is to focus on what's good!
That simple yet profound change of mind not only magnifies but multiplies what good. This is the law of attraction. By focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one brings positive or negative experiences into their life.

Choose to focus on and be grateful for what's good by asking "what's good??" and not only will there be more to be grateful for, but you'll see what's "wrong" will pale in comparison! Peace

Marriage... it's a commitment.

Marriage is the joining of two people in a bond that is to last until death. It is a life long commitment made to each other, typically in the presence of close friends and family. "For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish until death do us part" means just that.

Sure, those vows seem "dated" and unrealistic considering the current divorce rate in the United States is between 40-50% however unless there is a commitment to work through life circumstances together, the divorce rate will continue to steadily increase.

Keeping a promise has little or nothing to do with the person to whom the promise was made. A commitment is the act of binding yourself (intellectually or emotionally) to a course of action. When seen from this perspective, you are more likely to keep your word/promise which is also known as integrity.

Integrity - an unreduced or unbroken completeness. This unbroken completeness confirms outside forces are not a factor. Because a commitment is made at will, what the other does/says is not part of the equation. Over time however stipulations, prenuptial agreements, and the like have been incorporated into the marriage agreement as protection for the one who was wronged and able end the marriage with "just" cause, hence the divorce rate.

Seen from this perspective, there is no accountability for the offender considering divorce terminates  the agreement yet does nothing to rectify the offense and/or repair the damage because nothing good comes as a result of divorce.

A life long commitment on the other hand does not mean being a doormat and accepting abuse in any form. It is a decision to communicate from a place of Love where both parties are safe to  just be their authentic self. Free of criticism and judgments. Free from comparisons, neglect, dishonesty, disrespect and hostility.

Marriage is a life long commitment. Only when LOVE (God) is the common denominator will the "deal breakers" and/or "breaking points" be seen for what they are, tests. And because LOVE (God) is the solution to all problems, divorce is not part of the equation. Peace

Compassion, got any??

According to Miriam-Webster, the definition of compassion is the feeling of wanting to help someone who is sick, hungry, poor, hurt, in trouble, etc. Because the feeling  of wanting to help is just that, a feeling, it has little to no value primarily because feelings change according to circumstances. Although the intention may be for good, feelings hold little to no value because what is not constant/consistent is not reliable, stable, trustworthy.

Considering nothing on earth lasts forever, the saying "this too shall pass" is to remind us to Be still which does not mean resign and do nothing. On the contrary, when a moment (or two) is taken, rather than going off emotion and reacting, the answer to what the next step should be is more likely to be one that doesn't leave regret and shame in its wake. So True compassion is knowing and understanding it is the responsibility of each and everyone of us to see all forms of pain and suffering for what they are, temporary

True compassion is in sharing what we know and understand which has the potential to heal where focusing on the problem by wanting  to help does little to improve the situation which may even intensify the pain and suffering. This is because the circumstance itself is never the problem but depending on how it is "seen" and/or accepted is where the solution is found or overlooked.

Since the body is a reflection of what's going on in the mind, stress, anxiety, anger, depression, etc., are clear indicators of the mind which has lost "sight" of what is real and what isn't. "Live by faith not by sight" points to Peace of mind however because it is only a sign post so to speak, which only points to Peace, believing in the saying it is not enough to bring Peace.

Peace is a state of Being which comes from a state of mind and the only way it can  be experienced. This explains why it can't be bought for all the money in the world. Money and other forms of fortune may provide happiness and comfort but because these too are temporary, they do not offer Peace of mind which has nothing to do with material things. Because Peace can only be experienced, you can't fight for it considering Peace is the result of the absence of conflict /war  and not a reward  for "winning" and/or "defeating" another. Peace is eternal meaning it is not of this world which is why it can't be offered or taken away. It is an experience that comes from within never without which is why it can't be found, won, achieved, etc.

True compassion is to, 1. know and understanding this then 2. share it with those who forgot and suffer as a result. This is what heals and improves the conditions, not of circumstances, but of the mind where Peace is experienced.  Compassion, got any?? Peace

Childish vs Childlike

The meaning of "Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." is to surrender

Little children are used as an example because they haven't (yet) been tainted by the insanity that plagues the world. They enter the world with no expectations, no demands, no judgments, no fears, no cares, no worries, no ill will, no resentment, etc. All they have ate natural abilities to communicate their basic needs.

Little children know they don't have the answers to what they need and have no problem asking for help. They are dependent on their care taker and completely trust him/her/them for their needs.

Little children are to be used as an example of how to live because there is really nothing to it! "Oh to be a kid again" is often said/heard because time is irrelevant to little children. They do not concern themselves with things they don't control (Time.) They don't worry about how things are going to happen and they're not concerned with whether it will happen or not.

Doubt, Fear, Anxiety, Worry, Stress, etc. comes as a result of forgetting who is in control (and it's not you!) which is where Pain and Suffering come in to play. It is here childish behavior is learned and the Self is recognized as all that matters. It's at this point that greed, envy, jealously, revenge, etc. take form because trust is no longer in the care giver but now in "Me," "Myself," and "I." Selfish behavior is a result of childish thoughts like "what about me?" "that's mine!" "I had that first!" etc.

Remind yourself Who is ALWAYS in control and you will return to your childlike state and know all is well despite how your current life circumstances may seem and you will have entered the kingdom of Heaven, it's called Peace. Peace

Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand!

The meaning of this statement has often been misunderstood for "Hurry, get your life together because the end of time is either here/Now or near, very close." Looking at the condition of the world today which is simply a reflection of the mental state of mankind, it is easy to become fearful. War, crime, mass murder, drugs, alcohol, over eating, etc., are the actions taken by what the mind commands.

Because Fear is a state of mind, which is not to be confused with danger, it is what floods the mind gates with all sorts of thoughts that bring about fraud, greed, anger, jealousy, depression, resentment, revenge, anxiety, guilt, worry, discouragement, loneliness, confusion, conflict, misunderstanding, judgement, etc. When decisions are made while in any one of, or similar to those mentioned above, there is a very high probability the result will bring shame and/or regret.

Fear brings disaster and chaos where Love brings Peace and order. So please understand the correct meaning of "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand." to mean Repent -  "WAKE UP, and realize that Life is a gift!" "WAKE UP, and realize that the world is a reflection of YOU, and YOU create the change you want to see in the world by using the Power of God (LOVE) in order to bring positive change." "WAKE UP, and realize that Heaven is not some far away place up in the sky. Heaven is right here, right NOW, as is Hell.

They are both in the mind and experienced on Earth. Until it is made crystal clear and completely understood that Life is NOW, thoughts about the Past which projects Fear into the Future, will continue to keep you (year after year) anticipating a new and better life some day in Heaven. And ...for the kingdom of God is at hand" means - "Recognize each day as a new opportunity to live life NOW." "At hand" means tangible, experienced, lived, NOW for that alone is where Peace is experienced and Heaven is lived right here on Earth. Peace
