Charity

Charity - the voluntary giving of help, typically in the form of money, to those in need. Unfortunately,  the term Giving or to Give is not fully understood by most, for if it were the full benefits would be received on both ends!

Because you've forgotten who you are, you believe Giving or to Give means the giver loses in order for  the recipient to gain, when in fact, the complete opposite is true! Giving or to Give must be of a willing (voluntary) heart and mind in order to reap the full benefit(s.) True Giving means no strings attached. It means no records are kept for future claims and/or no expectations - not even a "thank you" for when the very least "thank you" isn't expressed, you will not feel disappointed. It's difficult to accept the concept of expecting nothing in return when children are trained at a very young age to mind their manners by saying "please" and/or  "thank you"!

In this world of scarcity and lack, you've forgotten Who's you are which explains the "what's in it for me?" form of thinking. Allow the Holy Spirit to remind you that true giving is where the fullest blessings and benefits are experienced. It's in freely giving that the Giver is just as blessed the recipient, if not more than the recipient. It's in giving from the heart (true giving) that both parties benefit. True giving is in not thinking of yourself and/or "what about me" but in knowing that Giving or to Give is a blessing in itself. True giving is in needing no recognition and/or acknowledgement because you understand it is a blessing to bless others. True Giving or to Give comes from a place of gratitude and sharing with others is a gift and not an obligation to be met.

True Giving is of value, not so much the content but more from where the giving is coming from. An  example of true giving is Time of which can never be taken back. Time is the one thing no one is guaranteed which makes it one of the most valuable gifts one can give AND receive. Because another has less than you, does not automatically mean misfortune, for that person could very well have more to give you than you could ever imagine - it's called Peace. Peace
